Nutrition - Simple Suggestions

I'm not a nutritionist or a dietician so my advice will be just a few basic concepts.

  • Eat foods as close to their natural state as possible
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables
  • Eat something raw with each meal
  • Get good fats from extra virgin olive oil, avocado and raw nuts
  • Avoid foods that contain: High fructose corn syrup and/or partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (markers of low quality foods)
  • Reduce intake of enriched white flour
  • Eliminate soft drinks
  • Eliminate artificial sweetners

The key to cleaning up your nutritional habits is to keep it interesting. If you eliminate less healthy foods, it helps to add new, different and healthy foods to keep you on track.
